Dehradun, May 7 -- Uttarakhand high court on Tuesday directed Nanital police to review the process of investigation in the Nainital minor's rape case on a weekly basis and submit the action taken report before the court on the next date of hearing on August 5. The division bench of chief justice G Narender and justice Alok Mahra heard the petition filed by Husan Begum, wife of the rape accused Mohammad Usman. She had pointed out in her petition that a notice by Nainital municipality was pasted on her house on Thursday, a day after the arrest of her husband, stating that it was located on an encroached land and within 3 days, she had to reply otherwise, action would be taken against her property. Kartikeya Hari Gupta, counsel of the petitioner, said the Nainital municipality filed a counter affidavit that the demolition notice issued against the house of the petitioner has been withdrawn.
