Jaipur, June 7 -- Senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led state government, accusing it of poor administration and neglecting the development works started during the previous Congress regime. Addressing the media in Jaipur on Friday, Pilot alleged that the so-called "double-engine government" is only putting up a smokescreen to mislead the public. "The BJP's double-engine government is only putting up a smokescreen. They are not even monitoring the projects initiated during our regime. It is unfortunate that their focus is entirely on appeasing people in Delhi instead of working for the welfare of the state," he said. Pilot criticised the internal functioning of the state administration, claiming that the government is more concerned about saving its chair than serving the people. "The entire machinery is caught in a power struggle. Bureaucrats are overriding political leadership, and work is being done arbitrarily. Even those in power holding top positions are unable to get their work done," he said. He also claimed that the public will have to suffer for the remaining three years of the government's term but expressed confidence that the tide will turn in Congress's favor. "People still have faith in the Congress. In the coming days, we will surely receive their blessings again," he added. Pilot expressed serious concerns over Pakistan's repeated ceasefire violations following Operation Sindoor. He said, "I have been saying from the beginning-on the very day the ceasefire was announced, within hours, there was firing and shelling from across the border." He questioned the credibility of Pakistan, saying, "How can we trust a nation whose credibility is already lost and which stands exposed at the international level? Trusting their ceasefire assurances is itself a big question." He stressed the need for India to act with utmost caution, adding, "India's economy is 11 times stronger than Pakistan's, yet comparisons are constantly being made. I believe that is completely wrong." Commenting on his remarks, BJP spokesperson Laxmikant Bharadwaj said that Congress leaders are competing with each other in making such statements and playing the role of an ineffective opposition. "Sachin Pilot has always been dissatisfied-he was unhappy even during his own government and continues to be so now," Bharadwaj said....
