Gurugram, July 4 -- A private hospital allegedly operating without permission from the district administration as well as the health department was sealed after a raid carried out in Nuh's Punhana, police officials said on Thursday. The hospital was sealed and a man identified as Mohammad Shabbir, who claimed to be the owner of the facility, was detained from the spot during the raid carried out on Tuesday, police said. Dr Manpreet Singh, Nuh deputy civil surgeon, said that one person was found undergoing treatment in the hospital at the time of the raid. "However, Shabbir, who owns the building too and a pharmacy located in it, claimed that the hospital was shut a fortnight back when officials questioned him before entering," he said. Singh said that they had received complaints about birth certificates of children being issued from some other hospital when they were actually born at the illegal facility, without medical supervision. Krishan Kumar, public relations officer of the Nuh police, said that the entire facility was sealed. Based on the complaint of the deputy civil surgeon, an FIR was registered against Shabbir and others under Section 15(2) of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, Section 34 of the National Medical Commission Act and Sections 319 and 125 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at City Punhana police station....
