Municipal corporation launches cleanliness drive in Gurugram
Gurugram, July 9 -- The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) has launched a citywide cleanliness campaign to turn sanitation into a people-driven movement, with daily inspections of 254 garbage vulnerable points (GVPs) and rapid grievance redressal via zone-wise quick response teams.
Additional commissioner Ravindra Kumar is leading the initiative, which includes 24/7 surveillance to deter illegal dumping.
"The aim is to ensure no complaint goes unaddressed," said MCG officials. Vehicles used for dumping will face seizure, heavy fines, and FIRs under municipal bylaws. "Cleanliness is not just the responsibility of the government. It is a shared duty," said MCG commissioner Pradeep Dahiya.
Residents are urged to submit photo or video evidence of violations, officials said....
