Gurugram, May 20 -- Since May 15, Gurugram health department had screened 51,663 people for Covid-19 in the district's rural blocks as part of the Haryana Village Health Checkup Scheme.

Even semi-rural and rural areas such as Badhshapur, Bhangrola, Pataudi and Farukkhnagar, had been covered since they were hit badly during the second wave of infections since April.

"The test positivity rate - proportion of positives out of the samples tested - in rural areas varied between 15% and 23% until May 12. In all likelihood, it has declined since then, which is yet to be calculated.Bhangrola reported the most cases (among rural areas) from May 1 till May 18, over 2313, followed by Badshahpur having 2107 cases," said Dr Jai Prakash, district surve...
