mcg deploys 16 staffers to check mechanised road sweeping in ggm
India, June 23 -- The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) has redeployed 16 clerical staff to supervise the work of road sweeping machines across the city. The decision marks a shift in how the civic body plans to utilise its sanitation infrastructure, officials familiar with the matter, said.
According to the MCG order, clerks - mostly drawn from the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam Limited (HKRNL) - have been asked to report to the office of the Additional Commissioner-III. These staff members, from departments such as Establishment and the Chief Engineer's wing, will be responsible for real-time monitoring of machine operations, documenting service delivery and reporting operational gaps to senior officials.
MCG commissioner Pradeep Dahiya said the move was designed to inject accountability into field operations. "We have deployed clerks to monitor the functioning of our sweeping machines more closely. This layer of supervision will help us identify where machines are not being used properly and ensure efficient deployment. Ultimately, it's about improving cleanliness in every locality," he said....
