Manesar municipal body to elect top civic officials on August 5
Gurugram, Aug. 2 -- The Municipal Corporation of Manesar (MCM) will hold a special meeting on August 5 to elect its first-ever senior deputy mayor and deputy mayor, marking a significant political milestone since its elevation to corporation status in 2020.

Election certificates and photo IDs will be mandatory for entry, and the use of electronic gadgets, including mobile phones and pen drives, will be strictly prohibited during the proceedings," said a senior MCM official.
The notification was issued by the office of the divisional commissioner and returning officer last week. Interested councillors have until Saturday to submit nominations, with scrutiny conducted on August 3 and the final list of candidates published the same day.
