Haldwani, Feb. 21 -- A 25-year-old shoe dealer was found with a gunshot wound to his head inside his shop in Rudrapur town of Udham Singh Nagar district on Friday morning, police said, adding that the circumstances surrounding the incident are suspicious. The man, identified as Dhruv Chawla, a resident of Adarsh Colony, owns a shoe store named "Kicks Villa" in the Civil Lines area of Rudrapur. He ran the shop in partnership with Harjinder Singh. US Nagar SSP Ajay Ganpati said that around 10.45 am on Friday, Harjinder informed the police that upon arriving at the shop at about 10.30 am, he found Dhruv lying in a pool of blood with a gunshot injury to his head. "Harjinder immediately rushed him to a private hospital from where he was referred to a higher centre due to his critical condition," the SSP said....
