Gurugram, July 21 -- A group of homebuyers of the Godrej Air project in Sector 85, Gurugram, staged a protest on Sunday outside the under-construction condominium, alleging delays in the delivery of their flats, lack of access via a 24-metre road, and non-completion of key amenities such as the clubhouse.
According to the buyers, Godrej Properties, the project developer, had promised possession of the flats by 2023. However, the delivery has not been made despite repeated commitments. Pravin Kumar Agarwal, a buyer who currently resides in another Godrej project, said, "Despite promises of possession in 2023, buyers are still waiting for their homes with no firm handover date."
Another protestor, Jatin Gandhi, said that the 24-metre access road shown at the time of launch is now blocked due to an expired lease. "When the project was launched, the developer showed access from a 24-metre road and a revenue road. But these roads are closed now."
Buyers also raised concerns over unfinished amenities, including the clubhouse, which was initially promised by March 2025.
In response, a Godrej Properties spokesperson said: "We continue to engage proactively with all homeowners of Godrej Air and keep them updated on the project's progress (last updated on July 19). We applied for Occupation Certificate (OC) to the Department of Town and Country Planning, Haryana, after ensuring necessary compliances, and are in the final stages of obtaining it, expected by August."
The spokesperson added: "We've complied with our licence conditions and handed over a portion of the land within the 24-metre road to authorities. The rest is the government's obligation."...
