New Delhi, Dec. 29 -- The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) informed the National Green Tribunal (NGT) that inspections confirmed illegal dumping and open burning of waste near Urban Extension Road-2 in Mundka. The hearing followed a plea by local Surendra Mohan. In a November 27 report, DPCC stated its October 29 inspection "observed dumped openly on the ground behind a DMRC depot" a significant amount of domestic waste and plastic, plus large quantities of construction debris.
