Gurugram, Oct. 25 -- A man and his father were arrested on Friday on abetment of suicide charges after his wife allegedly jumped to her death with her minor son from the seventh floor of a condominium in Sector 95, said police. The accused were identified as Rohit Kumar, 32, and Rajendra Kumar, 57, hailing from Chamdhera in Mahendragarh, and residing in an apartment at Siddharth society in Sector 95. Rohit ran a juice shop near Gurugram civil court while his deceased 27-year-old wife was a permanent nurse in a reputed private hospital in Sector 43. Police said the woman took the extreme step around 3.30pm on Wednesday after an argument with her husband and father-in-law. Investigators alleged that she had been assaulted and tortured over dowry demands. Despite earning a monthly salary of Rs.55,000, her debit card and cheque books were allegedly taken away, forcing her to rely on money from her parents. The duo allegedly demanded Rs.5 lakh, and when only Rs.2 lakh was provided by her father, they reportedly assaulted her and forced her father to sign blank papers. The woman's brother filed a complaint, leading to the registration of an FIR at Sector-10 police station and the subsequent arrest of Rohit and Rajendra, said police....
