India, May 15 -- Haryana industries and commerce minister Rao Narbir Singh on Wednesday announced that the state will soon unveil a new industrial policy aimed at accelerating economic growth and investment. He said that the state government is working on 10 new Industrial Model Townships (IMTs), with land already identified for the projects. "A nation or state cannot progress without a robust industrial sector. We are drafting a new industrial policy along with related framework to ensure Haryana becomes a top investment destination," said Singh. He added that chief minister Nayab Singh Saini, who also holds the finance portfolio, has increased the budget for the Industries department to Rs.1,848 crore for the current financial year - a hike of nearly 126% from the previous year. One of the key announcements includes the establishment of a new IMT in Nuh, adjacent to Gurugram. Singh confirmed that M/s Amprex Technologies Ltd. has already committed Rs.2,460 crore out of a proposed Rs.7,083 crore investment for setting up its unit in the region. "We are committed to developing Nuh at par with other districts in Haryana. This IMT will bring in jobs, infrastructure, and economic revival to the region," he said. To promote Haryana's textile industry, Singh said the government has launched the "Haryana AatmaNirbhar Textile Policy 2025." It aims to support textile hubs in Panipat, Gurugram, and Faridabad. "Under this policy, a Rs.1,200 crore subsidy provision has been made for textile businesses," he said. The minister also announced a new initiative to declare "confirmation zones" in areas where at least 10 acres of land and 50 proposed industrial units are available. "We will create a dedicated portal where investors can upload their documents and receive timely updates," Singh said. To further ease the process of doing business, a centralised "Single Window System" has been established in Panchkula to handle No Objection Certificates (NOCs) and other approvals. "We plan to replicate this system in all districts so that entrepreneurs won't need to shuttle between multiple departments," he added....
