Gurugram, June 28 -- The Haryana government's works purchase committee on Friday approved four infrastructure projects of the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), which will cost about Rs.127 crore. The four projects which were submitted for approval, included setting up of medical equipment in the under-construction Shri Mata Sheetla Medical College and Hospital in Sector 102A, laying a water pipeline along the Dwarka Expressway and upgradation of Behrampur and Dhanwapur sewage treatment plants. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini during the meeting directed that efforts be made to increase the utilization of treated water. He stressed that treated water should be supplied to industries according to their need to reduce consumption and curb groundwater extraction. A senior GMDA official said that the proposal to set up a modular operation theatre, gas pipeline, kitchen at the medical college has been approved.
