gurugram's Sohna Road caves in for 4th time in 1.5 years
India, May 6 -- A portion of the surface road on Sohna highway caved in again -- for the fourth time in the last one-and-half years, after a manhole of the sewage line underneath the road got damaged, officials said.
A visit to the spot revealed a 40 square feet hole in the road, with the sewage line below visible and emanating a foul-smelling gas. "The incident happened last week and after that the damaged area was barricaded to prevent any incidents. The road cave in happened due to the damage to the sewer line underneath it," said an official of Oriental Engineering, the project contractor. This is the fourth time in the last 16 months that Sohna Road has been damaged due to the master sewer line....
