Gurugram logs 7 new Covid-19 cases, health dept prepared
India, June 6 -- The Gurugram district health department carried out a drill on Thursday to assess its preparedness for any increase in Covid-19 infections, health department officials said.
Chief medical officer Dr Alka Singh said that all senior medical officers (SMOs) and medical officers (MOs) participated in a video conference where they were directed to stay alert. "We have asked all healthcare units to keep systems in place and respond promptly to any signs of escalation," she said.
On Thursday, Gurugram reported seven new Covid-19 cases. Among them, a 27-year-old woman from Sector 43 had recently returned from Goa. The other six patients- three women and three men have no recent travel history. All of them are in home isolation. The total tally for Covid-19 cases in Gurugram has climbed to 47, of which 30 remain active while 17 people have recovered.
Health officials have urged people to follow Covid-19 safety rules, especially in crowded places. They also advised people to report any symptoms to the nearest health centre....
