Gurugram, July 24 -- Government schools across Gurugram resumed in-person classes for students of grades 6 to 8 on Friday after almost four months since closing amid the second wave of Covid-19 infections. Many private schools are expected to reopen from Monday.

"The first day saw a good attendance in government primary schools in the district, and we hope that it will gradually increase in the coming week. Online classes will continue for students who cannot attend school," said Prem Lata, district elementary education officer. Schools were allowed to reopen with only 50% strength.
