GMRL seeks utilities shifting for Metro rail
Gururgam, June 16 -- The Gurugram Metro Rail Ltd (GMRL) has urged the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) to expedite removal of utilities and structures from the road stretch between Hero Honda Chowk and Umang Bhardwaj Chowk to avoid delays in metro project, officials said.

"It is once again requested to resolve the bottlenecks and hand over part of the Right of Way (ROW) in the Utility Corridor to GMRL free from all obstructions. In case the ROW under metro alignment is not handed over in time, the project can miss the November 2028 deadline. The contractor can also raise claim for delay and demand escalation charges," it stated.
A GMDA official said steps have been initiated to shift DHBVN towers and feeders, and coordination is ongoing with NHAI and Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL) for other utility removals....
