Gururgam, July 30 -- The Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) is set to acquire three privately owned properties that are affecting the alignment of the upcoming metro corridor from Millennium City Centre to Cyber Hub, officials said on Monday. The property owners-two in Sector 4 and one in Sector 9-have consented to part with their land following negotiations with a land acquisition committee formed under sub-divisional magistrate. In a letter issued on July 24, GMRL stated, "Consent to give their land for the Metro Project from the owners of 3 affected houses has been obtained. The land acquisition will be done as per the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, and the compensation will also be finalised under the same act." The properties impact 83 square metres, 91 square metres, and 426 square metres of the metro alignment, respectively. A high-level committee is also working on finalising the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) station at Cyber City, officials said....
