India, May 2 -- The planning wing of the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has served notice to five ready mix concrete (RMC) plants for allegedly accessing master sector roads without any permission or approval from the authority. GMDA officials said that due to unauthorised access there are high chances of accidents on these roads and overloaded trucks from these plants have damaged the surface of some of the roads. GMDA district town planner, RS Bhath, said that notices have been given to RMC plants located in Manesar, Sector 71/73 master road, Sector 8 in Manesar for illegally accessing master roads. "Due to illegal access, the roads are witnessing traffic jams, damage and there is a high possibility of accidents. Earlier, also we had sent notices to RMC plants in other sectors for violating rules and they were forced to take corrective steps," he said. One of the notices issued by GMDA to the plant owners said, "It has been noticed that you have taken illegal access of RMC plant on Sector 8 junction to Pataudi Road, Gurugram and heavy vehicles are damaging the sector road and infrastructure. Therefore, you are hereby directed to submit your access permission, if any in this office within 48 hours failing which it will be assumed that you have nothing to advance in your favour and ex-parte action will be initiated against you."
