Ggm reports 2 Covid-19 cases, health officials on alert in hry
Gurugram, May 23 -- Gurugram reported two new cases of Covid-19 over the past three days, with the patients showing mild to moderate symptoms, state health department officials said adding, that both of them were under home isolation and were being monitored by the district health department.
The two patients include a 31-year-old woman, who recently returned from Mumbai and a 62-year-old man, both from Gurugram.
Gurugram chief medical officer, Dr Alka Singh said, "We are closely tracking the health condition of both patients. They are currently stable and recovering at home. We have advised isolation and have deployed a team to carry out contact tracing and monitoring."
"These cases are a reminder that the virus still exists, and even mild symptoms should not be ignored. We are prepared to handle the situation, and medical teams are conducting follow-ups with the patients daily," said Dr Manish Rathee, medical superintendent at the Sector 10 civil hospital.
The new infections in Gurugram come amid a resurgence of Covid-19 in a few states in the country. According to data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India has reported 164 new cases since May 12, this year, with Kerala reporting the highest number.at 69....
