Ggm admin makes registration mandatory for pvt play schools
Gurugram, July 15 -- The Gurugram district administration has made it mandatory for all private play schools in the city to register according to the guidelines laid down by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), officials said.
The move comes amid growing concerns over the unregulated expansion of pre-primary institutions in the district.
According to officials from the Women and Child Development department, the registration process will ensure that these schools comply with basic standards related to infrastructure, staff, and child safety. The registration must be completed through the Haryana government's SARAL portal, with documents submitted online.
"Instructions have been issued to take strict action against unregistered private play schools. Necessary steps will be taken, including closure, if they fail to comply. Out of 796 private play schools operating in the city, notices have already been issued to 773. If any school fails to follow the guidelines, action will be taken," Dr Simran Sharma, district programme officer said.
