Noida, June 11 -- A 17-year-old boy who went missing from his Noida home in 2015 was reunited with his family nearly a decade later on Tuesday, after Faridabad police discovered him while probing an unrelated child abduction case. The boy was identified through a severed middle finger and a scar under his eye, as his facial features had changed. Police said Mangal Kumar, who had kidnapped a seven-year-old boy last month, had also been raising the teen as his own since 2015, after allegedly finding him lost in Delhi's Badarpur area. The boy had believed Mangal was his father until counselling helped him recall his past. His elder brother recognised him instantly by the injuries. A missing report had been filed in November 2015 and the case was closed in 2022 due to no leads. The boy's parents, who now live in Manipur, arrived Tuesday for an emotional reunion.
