Gurugram, Jan. 10 -- The Haryana home minister on Thursday announced that the state government will launch the '112' emergency services number by March 31 this year. The minister, Anil Vij, was speaking at the graduation parade of new recruits of the Haryana Police force on Thursday at the recruit training centre (RTC) in Bhondi.
In his commemorative speech, Vij said the number will be a part of a unified nationwide single emergency helpline.
"For the convenience of the people, our state government has decided to launch 112 as an emergency services number by March 31. Anyone from the state can dial the number to register their complaint in Hindi, English, Punjabi and Haryanvi languages," he said.
