DU Pushes for 'Clean & Green' DUSU Polls after last yr's furore
New Delhi, Aug. 6 -- After last year's Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) elections saw widespread defacement across campuses, the university is planning a cleaner campaign this year under its "Green Election, Clean Election" initiative. In 2024, posters, banners, pamphlets, and graffiti were plastered across university walls, metro pillars, and flyovers, prompting the Delhi HC to step in. Polling was held on September 27, the court delayed the counting of votes and declaration of results until November 26, ordering the defacements to be removed first.
