India, May 20 -- The enforcement wing of the Department of Town and Country Planning (TCP) on Monday issued a notice to the resident welfare association (RWAs) of Vipul Belmonte housing society on Golf Course Road for building an illegal shed in the condominium and allowing commercial establishments to operate from there, officials said. DTCP officials said that a notice was issued after a complaint was lodged by a large group of residents of the society, who alleged that unauthorised construction had been carried out in the open space within the society, and sheds constructed in this space were being used for commercial operations. District town planner, enforcement, Amit Madholia said that they had received a complaint from residents of Vipul Belmonte group housing society that an illegal shed had been constructed in the open space by RWA representatives and the space has been rented out to a cloud kitchen operator in violation of rules. "Taking cognizance of the complaint, a show cause notice has been issued to the RWA to submit a reply. Making any construction or additions in a group housing society without permission from the department is serious violation of rules and action will be initiated," he said. When asked about the matter, Vineeta Bhalla, a representative of the RWA said that she was not aware of any violation of rules. "The DTCP should look into our complaint regarding illegal construction of houses behind our society in Saraswati Vihar. I am not aware of any violation or construction in the society... I have lodged several complaints regarding illegal constructions adjacent to our society," Bhalla said....
