Djb to hire new agency to fix gaps, revamp i-t services
New Delhi, Nov. 7 -- After hiring KPMG for overseeing the execution of its sewage treatment plant (STP) and water billing related projects, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has started the process for setting up a similar Program Implementation Unit (PIU) to undertake digitalisation of its operations. Under this, a new agency will be responsible for taking over its existing applications, developing a common mobile application and live water quality tracking system.
A senior DJB official said that the existing IT services and websites are outdated. "The outdated revenue management system was a key hurdle for the implementation of the late payment surcharge amnesty scheme," official said.
A DJB official said the agency will be responsible for carrying out audits of all DJB applications and fixing outstanding bugs and performance issues....
