Demand for drinking water to double by 2030, says gmda
India, April 28 -- The demand for drinking water in Gurugram will double by 2030 and the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) which at present gets 240 cusecs of water from the Yamuna through the Gurugram water channel (GWS) and NCR water channel, has estimated that it will need 550 cusecs in 2030. The water requirement has been finalised on the basis of the population and a demand study carried out by experts from IIT, Roorkee, a senior GMDA official said....
