New Delhi, Dec. 18 -- The Delhi government has mandated registration for all used vehicle dealers, tightening oversight following a blast near the Red Fort involving a second-hand car. The transport department's December 15 order states no entity may operate without authorisation, requiring online registration. "It is hereby informed to all the concerned... to get themselves registered on the portal within 15 days positively," the letter read. An official said after implementation, sales require the owner's physical presence at an RTO or must go through a registered dealer.
