New Delhi, July 28 -- The historic 103-year-old Roshanara Club in north Delhi was officially reopened on Sunday after extensive restoration by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA). Inaugurated by Delhi lieutenant governor VK Saxena, the club-considered the cradle of Indian cricket-had been sealed for over 18 months before its revival. "It is a big moment... Delhi is a city of heritage," Saxena said. Built in 1922, the club was in a dilapidated state when DDA took over in 2023. "A careful and meticulously drawn up revival plan was undertaken," a DDA spokesperson said. Indoor and outdoor sports, recreational, and heritage features have now been fully restored....
