Gurugram, July 9 -- Self-styled cow vigilante and Goraksha Bajrang Force chief Raj Kumar, alias Bittu Bajrangi, has moved the Punjab and Haryana high court seeking permission to participate in the Jalabhishek Yatra in Nuh on July 14. The procession is the same during which communal riots erupted in Nuh on July 31, 2023, spreading to Sohna and parts of Gurugram, leaving six people dead, including a home guard, and injuring over 70. Bajrangi filed his high court plea on Monday. The hearing date is yet to be finalised. He also submitted requests to the Nuh superintendent of police and Faridabad police commissioner the same day. "I submitted petitions on Monday. Simultaneously, I have moved the HC for an urgent hearing to grant me permission to take part in the yatra," he told HT.
