India, June 12 -- The Gurugram district health department has set up flu corners at various health centres across the city to treat Covid-19 cases and improve early screening of the respiratory ailment. On Wednesday, the Gurugram health department reported ten fresh Covid-19 cases. With the ten new cases, the total tally for Covid-19 touched 106 in the city. Over the past two weeks, the health department has reported a gradual rise in Covid-19 cases in the city. An average of ten cases were reported every day in Gurugram, according to data released by health department. The health department has been collecting multiple samples each day for screening, officials said. Data from the health department shows that approximately 250 to 300 people visited the Civil Hospital at Sector 10 daily, with symptoms of cold, cough and fever. The department said that it has decided to categorise these patients with the help of flu corners, set up at health centres. District surveillance officer for Covid-19, Dr Jai Prakash said, "We have arranged 8 to 10 beds in our CHCs, UPHC, RPHCs and 30 beds at the Civil Hospital in Sector 10 to isolate infected patients. The flu corners allow us to identify and isolate infected patients early, reduce crowding and cross-infection risks."...
