MEERUT, Dec. 1 -- A booth level officer (BLO) allegedly died by suicide on Sunday in Moradabad district's Sehal Zahidpur village due to alleged work pressure, officials said. According to officials, there was a repeated mention of the BLO's inability to meet targets set by his senior in a suicide note recovered from the spot. Moradabad district magistrate Anuj Kumar Singh confirmed the incident and said a probe had been launched. "406 booths fall under the jurisdiction of Zahidpur village. We have received reports that the BLO took a drastic step. Local police are currently investigating the entire matter," the DM said. In another incident, a BLO identified as Shobha Rani, 56, died of a cardiac arrest in Bijnor district's Dhampur early on Saturday morning. "Until 8.30 pm, she was busy with her work. After having dinner, when we went to sleep. Around 2am, she experienced severe chest pain. We took her to hospital, where doctors declared her dead," said her husband Kripal Singh....
