New Delhi, Feb. 17 -- A-27-year-old bike taxi rider was killed by a speeding truck in southwest Delhi's Vasant Kunj, police said on Monday, adding that they were yet to make an arrest as the accused driver had fled the spot. Deputy commissioner of police (southwest) Amit Goel said a call about the accident was received at 11.44am from Bandar Farm, Mall Road. "Police teams rushed to the spot, and it was found that the victim had been taken to a hospital, where he was declared dead. A case has been lodged and we are looking for the accused driver," said the DCP. In another case, days after a 23-year-old man was killed by a speeding Mahindra Scorpio in southwest Delhi's Dwarka, police on Monday said the SUV was being driven by a minor and was accompanied by his elder sister, who was making reels at the time of the accident. "The boy was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board and sent to observation home. He was granted interim bail on February 10 on the grounds of Class 10th examinations.
