Gurugram, March 24 -- Union minister Rao Inderjit Singh on Monday said the process has been initiated for a medical college at the under-construction All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Majra in Rewari, with the Union health ministry approving 50 MBBS seats for 2026-27 session. Citing a March 23 letter issued by an under-secretary of the ministry, Singh said the approval allows commencement of the MBBS course and OPD services. He added that advertisements for administrative posts have been issued and recruitment for other positions is underway, with over 1,700 officers and staff to be hired. He added that approval for some posts is pending with the finance ministry. He noted appointment of doctors is must to start OPD services. Officials said AIIMS Rewari will have 750 beds, a 100-seat medical college, 25 super-speciality departments, and OPD capacity of 1,500 patients daily, along with hostel and residential facilities.abhishek behl...
