After Kejriwal, Sisodia boycotts excise case trial
New Delhi, April 29 -- Former Delhi deputy chief minister and senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia wrote to Delhi High Court Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma on Tuesday, saying he would boycott proceedings in the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) appeal against his discharge in the excise policy case, agreeing with former CM Arvind Kejriwal's similar stand.
Sisodia questioned the judge's public association with the Akhil Bhartiya Adhivakta Parishad (ABAP) and her children's engagements with Union government panels. "What disturbs me is. the judgement appears to answer a question that I. had never raised," he said.
On Monday, Kejriwal wrote that his "well-grounded apprehensions remained unresolved". Legal experts aware of the development said the court could proceed, appointing an amicus curiae. shruti kakkar...
