Gurugram, July 21 -- A seven-year-old boy was found dead near the green belt adjacent to the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway on Sunday morning, police said. A case of murder under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita has been registered against unknown people. The deceased was a resident of Fatehpur village and originally hailed from Palkhadi village in Rajasthan's Alwar district. His parents work in private firms in the area. According to police, the boy was last seen on Saturday evening. His mother returned from work around 7pm and asked her husband about him. Assuming the child was playing nearby, the father left for his night shift. On Sunday at around 8.15am, police received a call from a commuter reporting a child's body near Kalwari village, close to the KMP Expressway. A team from Bilaspur police station, including sub-inspector Birander Kumar, reached the spot and confirmed the child's identity. A preliminary examination revealed multiple injuries, including deep wounds to the forehead and chest, suggesting he was assaulted with a sharp object. The body was sent for an autopsy; the report is awaited. In his complaint, the child's father alleged that a neighbour, Ramesh alias Golu-originally from Bihar-may be responsible. He claimed Golu had stolen his mobile phone two months ago, and the child had witnessed the theft. He suspects Golu may have taken revenge. Gurugram police public relations officer Sandeep Kumar said, "The forensic team also inspected the crime scene. CCTV footage is being scanned, and statements from neighbours and family are being recorded." Police said the motive is still under investigation, and teams have been dispatched to locate the suspect....
