Dehradun, May 19 -- Five people from Bangladesh have been arrested for allegedly residing illegally in the country along with a woman from West Bengal for reportedly providing them assistance, police said on Sunday. Among the five Bangladeshi nationals, four are men and one is a woman. The Bangladeshi nationals were identified as Nirmal Roy (35), Shem Roy (33), Lipi Roy (27), Krishna alias Santosh (28), Munir Chandra (30), while Pooja Rani (28), is a resident of West Bengal. The accused are being questioned by the local intelligence unit (LIU), special branch, special operations group (SOG) of the local police along with military intelligence and Intelligence Bureau (IB), the police said. Dehradun SSP Ajai Singh said, "On Saturday, we received a tip off that some Bangladeshi nations were staying in Clement Town area. A joint team of SOG, LIU, and Clement Town police area started the verification drive of outsiders in the area."...
