3.77 lakh girls join dialogue, 2.98 lakh enrol in self-defence clubs
	
		
				Lucknow, Sept. 28 -- Under Mission Shakti 5.0, inspirational dialogues with renowned women, self-defense training, and the formation of self-defence clubs were conducted in government-run schools across Uttar Pradesh on Friday.
According to officials, motivational and skill-building activities were organised across the state as part of the government's broader mission to equip girls with the toolsand mindset to become self-reliant.
Approximately 3.77 lakh girls from council and Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls Schools participated in interactive sessions where accomplished women, including senior female officers, shared their personal journeys, challenges and achievements.
Self-defense clubs were officially launched in schools, with around 2.98 lakh girlsenrolling.
These clubs aim to equip girls with practical andeffective techniques toprotect themselves in emergencies.
Monica Rani, director general of school education, said, "The dialogue sessions and self-defence clubs have instilled confidence and courage in girls. This will empower them to face life's challenges and become self-reliant."...
