3-day diversion on Basai Road
Gurugram, March 29 -- The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) will implement a three-day traffic diversion on Basai Road starting Saturday to facilitate essential road repairs near the Sector 10 government hospital, officials said.
The work will be carried out from March 28 to March 30 (till afternoon), with construction scheduled between 10 pm and 6 am to minimise disruption during the day.
Officials said the stretch, which sees heavy vehicular movement and lies close to the hospital, will face partial or complete closure during the night-time working hours.
According to MCG officials, vehicles heading towards the Sector 10 government hospital via Basai Road will be diverted through alternative routes during the construction period. Internal roads connecting Sector 10 from the Sadar side will be used, while signages and on-ground staff will be deployed to guide commuters.
MCG executive engineer Pradeep Kumar has requested the Gurugram Traffic Police to ensure adequate personnel deployment at key points for traffic regulation.
Deputy commissioner of police (traffic) Rajesh Mohan said, "A detailed traffic diversion plan has been prepared for the stretch. Our priority is to ensure that emergency vehicles, particularly ambulances, are not affected. Traffic personnel will be deployed at critical junctions to regulate movement and assist commuters."...
