26-yr-old Man shot dead in Faridabad, two arrested
Gurugram, May 18 -- A 26-year-old man was killed near the MCD toll plaza at Ismailpur in Faridabad, on Saturday, allegedly over an old dispute, police said.
Investigators identified the deceased as Suraj Kumar, a property dealer, originally from Basantpur in Faridabad. He was shot at least seven times and is survived by his parents, they said.
Police said he had reached a liquor shop in Ismailpur with some of his associates at about 12.30am on Saturday when 10 armed men also arrived and opened fire at him. He was rushed to a nearby private hospital by his friends where he was declared dead on arrival by doctors. His friends alerted the police control room about the incident.
Yashpal Yadav, public relations officer, Faridabad police, said two men identified as Rohan Awana alias Gullu, 25 and his cousin Akash Awana, 26 were arrested from Basantpur on Saturday over the murder.
Based on the complaint of Suraj's father Santosh Kumar at Palla police station, a first information report (FIR) was registered against seven men, including the two held under various sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act.
The body was handed over to his family after an autopsy....
