Haldwani, Oct. 31 -- Two minors were apprehended in connection with the daylight robbery case of an elderly man near the inspector general's residence in Haldwani, a police officer familiar with the matter said on Thursday, adding that the stolen mobile phone along with part of the looted cash has been recovered from their possession. According to circle officer (CO) Nitin Lohani, the robbery took place on the afternoon of October 29 when two unidentified youths snatched a mobile phone and Rs.5,000 in cash from Bhagwan Singh Nagdali, a resident of Nishant Vihar, in front of the IG's residence located behind the police station. The incident occurred when Nagdali was returning home from his shop in Mutor Gali. "During the search, the victim's mobile phone and Rs.2,100 in cash were recovered from their possession," Lohani said. He said both the accused were minors.
