Jaipur, Nov. 5 -- Rajasthan is gearing up for another major policy drive, with the state government preparing to introduce 12 new sectoral policies aimed at more investment, innovation, and employment. The move follows the rollout of 22 policies earlier this year, marking what officials described as a historic phase of policy-driven governance and economic reform. The upcoming policies will target key sectors - from agriculture and MSMEs to green growth, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing. Aligned with the vision of "Atmanirbhar Bharat-driven manufacturing," the new framework seeks to strengthen Rajasthan's industrial base, attract domestic and global investors to the state, promote technological innovation, and create diverse job opportunities for the youth. According to an official familiar with the development, the upcoming policies will also focus on futuristic areas such as drones, aerospace component manufacturing, machinery clusters, and global capability centres, positioning Rajasthan as a global competitive hub in the region. The government's broader goal is to build an ecosystem that supports modern industries, boosts exports, and bridges the gap between rural and industrial economies of the state. "The policies are expected to be released by the next budget session in February 2026," the official said. He added that among the 12, four policies - including the New Industrial Policy, Aviation and Logistics Policy, Global Capability Center Policy, Trade Promotion Policy, and Semiconductor Policy - are expected to be announced initially in the coming months. The 12 proposed policies shaping Rajasthan's next growth phase include: Agriculture and Food Processing Policy, New Industrial Policy, Aviation and Logistics Policy, Global Capability Center Policy, Tourism Policy, Green Growth Credit Policy, Sports Policy, FMCG Policy, IT Outsourcing and Forest Policy, Trade Promotion Policy, Semiconductor Policy, and Drone and Aerospace Policy. These additions build upon the government's earlier set of 22 forward-looking policies introduced since taking office - including the Clean Energy Policy, Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme, AVGC-XR Policy, Rajasthan Export Promotion Policy, Garment and Apparel Policy, Warehousing and Logistics Policy, Data Center Policy, One District-One Product Policy, MSME Policy, Mineral Policy, M-Sand Policy, Rajasthan Youth Policy, Innovation Promotion Policy, Skill Policy, Tourism Policy, Building and Hill Bylaws, Township Policy, Land Allotment Policy, Development Promotion and Control Regulation, and the Mill and Fill Policy. Experts have lauded the state government's reform-oriented approach, describing it as a transition from policy intent to structural transformation. However, they have also underlined the strong need for robust monitoring, feedback, and evaluation mechanisms to ensure that the benefits of these reforms reach the right stakeholders and deliver tangible results. Some of the 12 proposed policies include, Agriculture and Food Processing Policy that aims to increase farmers' income and promote agro-based industries, the New Industrial Policy that focuses on empowering manufacturing and attracting large-scale investments, and Aviation and Logistics Policy among others....
