India, Dec. 30 -- The Indian Council of Industrial Management (ICIM) organised the Shramev Jayate - New Labour Codes Seminar in Sector 18, Noida. The programme was led by ICIM Chairman Satendra Singh and Director Anshuman Singh. Member of Parliament Dr Mahesh Sharma and Uttar Pradesh Principal Secretary (Labour) Dr MK Shanmuga Sundaram inaugurated the conference by lighting the ceremonial lamp. In his address, Dr Sundaram highlighted that the new labour codes are aimed at ensuring better facilities, timely wages and stronger social security for workers, and emphasised the role of employers in supporting these reforms. More than 250 industry representatives from across the country participated in the event, which featured expert-led technical sessions. Speakers included Adv. Sudhir Kumar Gupta, Adv. Govindraju NS and Adv. Yajat Kumar, who shared insights on key provisions across the Social Security Code, OHS Code, Wage Code 2019 and Industrial Relations Code 2020. Senior officers from DLC-DDF Noida, Ghaziabad and Meerut were also present. Speaking at the seminar, Satendra Singh said the new labour codes are an important step towards dignity, safety and stability for India's workforce.
