Visitors steal flowers at Noida fest: Where's the civic sense?
India, Feb. 26 -- Last weekend, flora lovers in NCR witnessed the Noida Flower Festival 2026 at Shivalik Park in Sector 33A. Though photos and videos from the event became quiet a hit when splashed across the internet, but a video from the final day shows visitors stealing flowers and pots from the venue. This has triggered widespread outrage on social media where users are questioning the civic sense of visitors and their lack of respect for public property.
The four-day event recorded a footfall of nearly 1.5 million visitors according to the Noida Authority officials. The incident recoded in the widely circulated clip (233k views) reportedly occurred during the final hours of the festival on Sunday. Several people can be seen removing flowers and plants from decorative installations and display areas. Some festival-goers even climbed over floral arrangements to pull out the plants.
Anand Mohan Singh, deputy director (horticulture), Noida Authority, said, "It was happening almost every day. We would fix everything at night, and then people would damage it again the next day. What can we do about certain members of the public?"HTC...
