India, July 25 -- University of Southampton, a founding member of the UK's prestigious Russell Group has launched its flagship India campus in Delhi-NCR. With this, Indian students can now access globally recognised UK degrees at an institution ranked among the Top 100 universities globally (QS World University Rankings 2026) without leaving the country. Dignitaries, including Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, were present at the ceremony which was held recently at the International Tech Park campus. The minister lauded the initiative as a powerful example of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in action. "This campus creates a new generation of globally competitive, work-ready graduates," he said. Students enrolling in August 2025 can pursue undergraduate degrees in BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance, BSc (Hons) Business Management, BSc (Hons) Computer Science, or BSc (Hons) Economics, as well as postgraduate programmes; MSc International Management or MSc Finance. These are the only degree programmes currently offered in India; all courses follow the UK curriculum and are delivered by internationally qualified faculty. The university is also ranked among the Top 10 most targeted UK universities by recruiters (The Graduate Market 2024). Graduates from the Delhi campus with bachelor's degrees will benefit from enhanced progression to the postgraduate programmes offered at either the Delhi or UK campuses. Additionally, up to 20 undergraduate students from the August 2025 intake will have the opportunity in year two to experience a semester abroad in the UK campus, without paying extra tuition fee.
