These are tough times but the show must go on, says Lillete Dubey
India, May 15 -- Recently, several concerts and shoots were put on hold, given the escalation of tensions between India and Pakistan. Actor Lillete Dubey, however, tells us that she is currently shooting for Ginny Wedss Sunny 2 in Uttarakhand. "The shoot is underway in Mussoorie and Dehradun," she confirms, adding, "These are tough times, but the show must go on. We are working to entertain the audience which is also important."
The trailer for the film, which is a sequel for the 2020 film Ginny Weds Sunny, dropped on Wednesday and Lillete shares: "It's a romantic comedy that also has a message."
How has the atmosphere on sets been like, as the situation unfolded? "Everything is calm here. Everyone is relieved with the truce, but, of course, on guard too," the 71-year-old shares.
While she was recently seen in the web series Dabba Cartel, Lillete has been away from mainstream Hindi cinema for a while. "My heart and soul belong to theatre; unless something interesting comes along I'd rather do OTT or I'd rather do independent film. People say, 'We don't see you much,' but I don't want to be in a movie just to say 'Khush raho beta, jite raho!" the actor explains....
