India, Feb. 25 -- J ust days after marrying Irish corporate executive Sophie Shine on February 21, former cricketer Shikhar Dhawan dismissed viral claims about alleged remarks concerning his first marriage. The controversy erupted after a social media post claimed that Shikhar had said his former wife, Aesha Dhawan, once told him that no one would marry him after she left, and that his recent remarriage was a fitting reply. Addressing the issue in a note shared on social media on Monday, Shikhar clarified, "I have never carried baggage from the past, be it on the pitch or outside. I firmly believe in the power of positivity while respecting my past." Calling out the spread of false narratives, he added, "This is a new chapter in my life, and I feel truly grateful for the love and blessings I have received from my fans, friends, family, well-wishers and the media. I strongly urge people not to trade on my name with clickbait, insensitive and false statements on social media. Let's spread love and positivity. Thank you." Shikhar married Sophie after a year-long relationship, and the couple had announced their engagement on January 12. He was earlier married to Aesha; they wed in October 2012 and welcomed their son, Zorawar, in 2014, before separating in 2023.HTC...
