Sharon Stone reveals why she 'fast-forwards sex scenes' on TV
India, April 7 -- H
ollywood actor Sharon Stone, known for her bold on screen roles, has said she often skips "blatant, harsh" sex scenes on television, arguing that excessive explicitness takes away from imagination and emotional depth.
In a recent interview, as reported by Deadline, Stone reflected on her iconic role in the 1992 film Basic Instinct, particularly its widely discussed interrogation scene. She noted that the moment's impact lay in suggestion rather than explicitness.
"It wasn't even an entire frame of film," she said, adding that the intrigue and mystery around the scene contributed to its lasting effect.
Stone contrasted this with current portrayals on television. "When sex scenes come on TV, I fast-forward. I don't want to see it. It steals from my imagination," she said, emphasising her preference for "yearning, mystery and desire".
The interview also revisited her earlier claims about the making of Basic Instinct. In her 2021 memoir The Beauty of Living Twice, Stone wrote that she was misled about the extent of the nude scene during filming.
Looking ahead, Stone will appear in the third season of Euphoria, where she plays a showrunner. ANI...
