sayani: i Love the way women tell their stories

aving spent three seasons fronting Four More Shots Please!, actor Sayani Gupta is no stranger to sets where women lead the screen space. Now, she joins the third season of another popular series Delhi Crime, sharing the frame with actors Shefali Shah, Huma Qureshi and Rasika Dugal.
"It was great. I've always worked with a lot of women and collaborated with many women directors too," she says, adding, "I genuinely enjoy the way women choose to tell stories."
Calling the show "a fabulous legacy project," she adds, "Rasika is an old friend, and both Shefali and Huma are phenomenal actors. As an actor, it's always a pleasure to perform alongside such talent. They're also wonderful human beings. Our director, Tanuj Chopra, created a space where every actor could shine. It was a lot of fun."
On whether joining an established series is daunting, Sayani is quick to respond: "I don't think actors should feel pressured. If you've been chosen for a role, it's because the makers believe in you. You show up, do your job, and enjoy the process. Too much pressure just gets in the way."
She's currently shooting for the fourth season of Four More Shots, and says, "We're shooting every day, and it's exhausting. There's a lot of travel involved. But with the girls - Kirti [Kulhari], Maanvi [Gagroo], and Bani J - it's always a lot of fun."...
