Rahul Vaidya has no regrets over limited playback singing offers
India, July 20 -- Rahul Vaidya has sung both film and non-film tracks, but it's his independent music that struck the strongest chord with fans. Fresh off the release of his new album Jisne Daaru Nahi Pi, he enjoys working across formats and doesn't dwell on limited playback opportunities.
"I've never bothered to actually even figure out why I'm not the first choice for playback. I think it's a completely different route which works to get active playback singing offers. And I've never taken that route," says the 37-year-old.
Having taken the indie route, the Indian Idol 1 runner-up adds, "I don't regret the things I couldn't get, I don't get overjoyed over things I achieved... Everybody works hard, but some people are just meant to work hard. Then, they get the opportunities, and they end up doing the kind of work that gives them fame, name - everything. It is important to have long innings in the music industry."...
